The 76th Bde. M.G. Coy. was formed by the 13 April 1916. It was formed from the Machine Gun Sections of the listed infantry battalions.
On 06 March 1918, it was amalgamated with the 8th, 9th and 233rd Machine Gun Companies to form No. 3 Battalion, Machine Gun Corps.
As a unit of the 3rd Infantry Division, it will have taken part in the following battles and engagements.
