05 to 10 November | The division gradually fought its way forward through the northern portion of the Forest of Mormal, crossed the Sambre (near Pont sur Sambre), and advanced across the Maubeuge-Avesnes Road on the 8th, and here it was relieved on the 10th November. |
On the 11th November, the 5th Division was in IV. Corps Reserve, near le Quesnoy, and on the 3rd December it was visited by H.M. the King. Between the 13th - 21st December the division moved into Belgium and was cantoned in the villages between Namur and Wavre, remaining in these billets until its demobilization began in February 1919.
